Frontend Engineer

We are partnering with an early-stage LegalTech startup that is transforming the immigration industry by combining legal expertise with AI/ML. Their platform simplifies complex immigration processes for individuals and businesses, providing a seamless, intelligent, and intuitive experience. They are looking for a Frontend Engineer to build the “face” of their AI-powered platform and help deliver a high-quality, user-centric product.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to implement web applications and core product features.
• Translate UI/UX designs and wireframes into high-quality, responsive code.
• Develop and maintain frontend components, ensuring seamless integration with backend services.
• Evaluate and leverage advanced JavaScript/TypeScript libraries and frameworks to improve performance and user experience.
• Design and implement APIs and data modeling in conjunction with backend teams.
• Build reusable code and component libraries for future use.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

Key Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a frontend engineer with a proven track record in building production web applications.
• Prior experience at a VC-backed startup or fast-growing company preferred.
• Degree from a strong computer science program; relevant experience at top companies may substitute.
• Strong proficiency in React and Next.js.
• Ability to translate product design into technical design, including APIs (Python/FastAPI) and UI.
• Solid understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with 50–60 hour workweeks.
• Located in the San Francisco Bay Area or willing to relocate.
