Sr. Applications Engineer

This senior-level position entails collaborating with customers, designer teams, and marketing to define high-density module products for demanding AI and HPC workloads. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams such as production, test, module/IC design, and reliability teams to drive the design, development, debugging, and release of next-generation products. Additionally, proposing total GPU power solutions, providing high-quality customer support, and contributing to product promotion through publications are key responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Define high-density module products for AI and HPC workloads in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
• Propose MPS total GPU power solutions to meet customer requirements and secure design/business share.
• Provide customer support, including local assistance, board debugging, schematic and layout reviews, and system-level simulations.
• Develop and debug reference EVBs for customers.
• Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and papers to promote products in magazines and conferences.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in switch mode power supply designs, especially in multi-phase core power design.
• Proficient in lab tools such as oscilloscope, DMM, power supplies, e-loads, frequency analyzer, etc.
• Prior experience with multi-phase module or controller products preferred.
• Experience with simulation tools like Simplis, Maxwell, Icepak, etc., is a plus.
• Fluent communication skills in English with excellent writing and presentation abilities.
• Self-motivated individual with an MSEE with 2-3 years of working experience or PhD EE required.
