Senior Staff PCB Layout Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Staff PCB Layout Engineer to contribute to the design of complex high-speed Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) used in development systems, reference platforms, and volume products. This role requires a hands-on approach and close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Hardware, Mechanical, Signal Integrity, Compliance, Test, and Operations, to define requirements and set the overall PCB development methodology.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCB layout design and enforce layout constraints.
• Coordinate and oversee external PCB layout contractors.
• Manage board placement, routing, and final rule checks.
• Implement constraints provided by Hardware and Signal Integrity engineers.
• Ensure adherence to Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) requirements.
• Address and resolve issues raised by PCB vendors and contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience across the product development lifecycle.
• Proficiency in PCB layout using Cadence Allegro.
• Expertise in designing high-speed, multi-layer complex PCBs.
• Strong understanding of DFM, DFA, and DFT principles.
• Self-motivated and adaptable to a dynamic startup environment.
