The Role
As an Engineering Manager, you will take charge of the technical direction and growth of a talented engineering team. You will cultivate a culture of excellence, autonomy, and impactful contributions. Your expertise in infrastructure, AI, or cloud technologies will be essential as you lead the team in a dynamic startup environment.Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and expand a high-performing engineering team, ensuring execution meets a high technical standard.
• Design and enhance the infrastructure and backend systems that support AI-driven clinical workflows.
• Make informed technical decisions regarding distributed systems and multi-cloud environments.
• Mentor team members, promoting a culture of curiosity and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Product, AI, and Design teams to develop intuitive and scalable solutions.
• Refine engineering processes to maximize efficiency while minimizing overhead.
• Stay actively engaged in hands-on technical work, leveraging tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines as necessary.

What We Are Looking For

• 7+ years of engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role within high-growth environments.
• Strong background in individual contributor roles, with experience in building and scaling complex systems.
• Proven success in startup settings, thriving in fast-paced and high-ownership cultures.
• Experience from large tech or enterprise companies, applying best practices effectively.
• Technical expertise in AI or cloud technologies, with practical knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-native architectures.
• A strong understanding of scalability, backend infrastructure, and high-throughput architectures.
• Empathy for both engineers and end-users, with a knack for motivating teams and keeping user needs front and center.

• Experience with data pipelines or AI/ML infrastructure.
• Background in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or defense.
• Proven track record of hiring and mentoring top engineering talent in rapidly scaling teams.
