Overview:
A leading company in the LED lighting and semiconductor industry is seeking an Account Manager for its Automotive Division. This role is ideal for individuals with an engineering background who are eager to transition into a customer-facing sales role. The Account Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and securing sales opportunities while maintaining strong relationships with key customers.

Key Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (Required): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related fields).
  • Experience: 3–7 years of professional experience, ideally transitioning from a second or third role. Prior sales experience is not required.
  • Ideal Background: Experience in Application Engineering, Design Engineering, or similar roles that involved direct customer interaction and problem-solving.
  • Sales Mindset: Candidates must actively want to transition into sales—not just looking for a way out of engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the LED lighting and semiconductor markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Understand customer needs and provide technical solutions using the company’s LED and semiconductor products.
  • Lead opportunity planning, project sales, and value-based selling strategies.
  • Conduct presentations, proposals, and product demonstrations to clients.
  • Travel up to 80% to customer locations for direct engagement.
