Hardware Engineer – PIM

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with a local startup to explore and develop advanced DDR Processing In Memory (PIM) technologies.
• Conduct advanced research on ARM-based multi-processor SoCs.
• Engage in GEM5 modelling, hardware accelerators, and memory hierarchy, including cache and DDR.
• Contribute to the development of key technologies for future SoCs at the Grenoble research institute.
• Promote these technologies to improve product competitiveness.
• Work on multi-processor SoC platform modelling to evaluate hardware/software optimisations.
• Focus on application areas such as networking data plane and control plane.

Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience as a hardware engineer.
• Strong background in System-on-Chip design, including hardware accelerators, CPUs, and caches.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python for hardware modelling and performance profiling.
• Experience with GEM5 modelling, hardware accelerators, and memory hierarchy.
• Demonstrated ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge.
• Proven history of creative problem-solving and effective communication within a global team environment.
